Chocolate Syrup

This syrup is great over pancakes, waffles or ice-cream.

125g/1 cup cocoa powder
220g/1 cup sugar
375ml/1 ½ cups boiling water
1 tsp vanilla
a nut of butter

Sift together cocoa powder with sugar. Place in a saucepan with boiling water and butter and cook over medium heat for 5 minutes stirring constantly. Cool, then stir in vanilla.
